Joanne M. Palamar Said Goodbye To This World On 6th July, 2023

On Thursday, July 6, 2023, at her residence in Sinking Spring, Joanne M. Palamar, 81, who had previously lived in Pottsville and Gilberton, departed this life to be with our Saviour.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Tillie (née Romanek) Kashalonis and was born in Shenandoah on June 15, 1942.

Joanne M. Palamar graduated from Gilberton High School in 1959. She spent more than 30 years working at the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit, Marlin, before retiring.

She belonged to Minersville’s St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Her stepson Joseph K. Palamar, her grandson Morgan Palamar, and her husband of 30 years, Joseph Palamar, died before her in 2021.

Joanne M. Palamar is survived by her sister Marie Guiliano (and husband William), of Caldwell, New Jersey; two nephews, Joseph Guiliano (and wife Anna), of Wayne, New Jersey; a niece, Patricia “Patty” Egnozzi (and husband Frank), of Roseland, New Jersey; nine great nieces and nephews; and three great-great nieces and nephews.

Teresa “Terri” Reeser (husband, Mark), Sinking Spring, with whom she resided, Kevin Palamar (spouse, Judy), Allentown, Michael Palamar (spouse, Jennifer), Reading, and Christopher Palamar (spouse, Debbie), Leesport, as well as ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, are also left to cherish her memory.

On Saturday, August 5, at 11:00 a.m., relatives and friends are welcome to join the Requiem Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, located at 415 N.

Front Street in Minersville. After that, there will be a burial in Branch Township’s St. Nicholas Cemetery. Dutcavich’s Charge is with the funeral home.
