Life Of Joseph Aloise Harvilla, Jr

He was born on April 17th, 1949, in Coaldale, Joe was the son of Joseph A., Sr., and Sara A. (Watkins) Harvilla. He grew up in Coaldale and graduated from Panther Valley High School in 1967.

Joseph Aloise Harvilla was a presser at Tami’s Sportswear and worked as an employee in several factories. Along with being a very humorous, open-minded guy, his last 9-year job in a Walmart as a customer host was the only job he enjoyed doing.

Joe was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus and Coaldale Fire Company. He had been a football coach for Panther Valley and was involved with the Tamaqua Raider Band as a parent and band booster.

Joe was fond of playing golf, bowling, and watching the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Denver Broncos.

In addition to this, he loved his family a lot. His wife will miss him. Roxanne; daughter Tiffany Ann Warden and her husband Matthew of St. Clair; granddaughter Kinsley Warden; brother John Harvilla of Coaldale; and many other family, friends, co-workers, and acquaintances.

The funeral Services for Joseph Aloise Harvilla will be arranged at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
