Kathryn M. Boris’s Life
She was born in Tamaqua on December 19, 1947. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Lucy (Sweeney) Oakes.
Kathryn M. Boris had worked in the teaching field as a teacher’s aide for Shenandoah Valley High School for many years. She had also worked for many stores in the local area. Moreover, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandson.
According to her parent’s statement, Kathryn M. Boris was preceded by a son, Glen, and several brothers and sisters.
Relations
Kathryn M. Boris left her husband, Leonard J. Boris Jr., and two sons: Leonard Boris with his wife Renee of Ringtown and Joseph Boris with his wife Shari of Shenandoah.
A daughter, Theresa Mulhall, with her husband, Bob, of Shenandoah, four grandchildren, Justin Mulhall, Alyssa Boris, Jonathan Boris, and Vanessa Boris; and one great-grandson, Grayson Petri.
Two brothers—Kenneth Oakes of New Jersey and Michael Oakes of Tamaqua One sister—Marie Quick of Quakake—and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services
The visitors and their families will come to attend funeral services. This will be arranged on Wednesday, September 6th, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Oravitz Home for Funerals, Inc., 40 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah. These services will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. The visitors will follow in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights, for condolences.
