Margaret Ann Shemansik had completed her graduation from Mahanoy Area High School with the Class of 1967 and Schoeneman Beauty School. She had run the Margaret Ann Shemansik Beauty Shop.
Margaret Ann Shemansik’s Career
She had a crucial role in running the St. Mary’s Banquet Facility and imparting CCD lessons. She was a member of the West End Fire and Rescue Lady’s Auxiliary. Mahanoy City PTA, Catholic Daughter, First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, and the Mahanoy City Women’s Club.
She was the president of the Homecoming Committee for the Parades in Mahanoy City. She liked to help the Good American Fire Company with their events and was engaged with several community organizations to socialize.
Relationship
Margaret Ann had left two brothers, Joseph, husband of Gina Shemansik Jr., of New Boston, and John, husband of Fran Shemansik, of Summit Hill, as well as nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services
The Office of Christian Burial and Divine Liturgy will be arranged at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, at 11:30 AM on Friday, September 1st, with Rev. James Carroll officiating.
Visitors and family members may call on Friday from 9 to 11:30 AM at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church.
The visitors will follow at St. Mary’s Byzantine Cemetery in Mahanoy City. Donations can be given to St. Mary’s Byzantine Church in Mahanoy City.
